Purpose: Tridiagonal Software is experiencing large growth. Based on the current pipeline and market response, we anticipate this to continue. Our goals are to grow 5X in 5 years. Our flagship product is MixIT. To enable the 5X growth, Tridiagonal is working on several initiatives involving the product MixIT and an allied software smartCFD. Dedicated sales, marketing and lead generation teams are working in tandem. Third-party alliances are being set up to expand market outreach.
Tridiagonal Software is interested in hiring a Global Manager to lead the Technical Services and Customer Success initiatives related to MixIT, smartCFD and the various allied products such as MixIT on Cloud. This is a leadership role and the individual is expected to work very closely with the sales, marketing and product development team in achieving our revenue goals.
The entire team of individuals responsible for technical services and customer success will be reporting to this individual. All hiring, training and management of the engineers including interns are under the purview of this Global Manager. The team needs to be set up and managed to handle the revenue responsibilities and the diverse activities of the team. Grooming leaders will be very important as well.
Application Engineering: Customer success requires understanding prospective customer needs and evolving a suite of case studies and presentations that identify technical/business challenges and our solutions to them including the value we create in the process. Starting with research to establish case studies, software demos, case study reviews, software trials, sample projects, proof of value programs, seminar series etc. a prospective customer needs to be engaged and nurtured actively to create a sale. This individual is responsible in handling this process end to end and will work very closely with sales and marketing. His team brings all of the technical expertise and experience required to have engaging conversations with prospective clients and persuading them to consider our tools as an alternative to trial and error.
Technical Account Management: Growing existing accounts is very reliant on high-quality technical support and a very active engagement of clients. Working closely with account managers, this individual will ensure that software usage is monitored actively, support requests are answered on time and training programs are delivered routinely. It is important to keep expanding the user base.
Consulting Services: Technical Services are extremely important for the growth of software usage. This individual will be the principal consultant on consulting projects and together with his team will provide proposals, review them with clients and deliver these services.
University Engagement: A very active university program is critical to the growth of software technologies. Need to establish and deliver training programs for universities. This again is a very collaborate effort between university sales and marketing.
New product ideation – As part of the market engagement, this individual will likely be exposed to a number of industry needs. Spending some time in documenting such needs and making recommendations for new Apps is important
Market Engagement: The individual and the team members are expected to actively travel and engage with the market. They are the face of the software company. This will include trade shows and conferences, client visits and international travel to engage with prospective clients, deliver training classes etc.
Revenue Targets: While this is the primary responsibility for Sales Director and the Software Division head, the Global Manager for TS and CS will be a key partner and influencer of the MixIT and smartCFD Business Unit. This is an important key result area for this individual. Day-to-day customer success activities is under the supervision of the Global Manager and his team has the most technical influence. While BU Head and Software Company Head are more mentors in the process, the Global Manager will work closely with sales director and various account managers for meeting revenue targets. Much of this work will be around evolving strategies, guiding sales and executing technical activities. Constant focus is on aligning our product pitch and case studies to market needs and what excites a customer.
- Master’s or PhD degree in Chemical Engineering with 7 – 10 years of experience
- 3 to 4 years in technical support / Application Engineering of CFD software products
- Strong background and fundamentals in Fluid Dynamics
- Should have exposure to the application of modeling and simulation in the chemical industry
- Exposure or knowledge of batch mixing will be an added advantage
- Demonstrated problem solving skills
- Ability to work independently, as well as with others in a diverse team environment
- Ability to lead a team of engineers for customer support and success
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with customers
- Possesses a sense of urgency, strong organizational and follow-up skills
- Demonstrated skills in writing and presenting in fluent English
- Interested in working with customers
